Belly Fat: How to Lose It Permanently
There has been a lot of publicity lately on belly fat and how to lose it. However, pills and quick-fix diets only work short-term. For lasting belly fat reduction, you need to stick to the following:
Drink 8 glasses of water per day.
Water flushes out excess toxins that cause us to overeat. Water also moves along the wastes that are stuck in our digestive tracts and which lead to bloating and constipation.
Finally, because a lot of our hunger for food is actually the result of thirst, it is of great importance to drink water if you wish to lose weight.
Eat fiber.
When we eat a diet low in fiber, foodstuffs become stuck in our digestive tracts. This leads to belly bloating and constipation. It also does not encourage the muscles of our digestive organs to exercise as they should. Fiber allows us to feel full, thus discouraging us from overeating. It also activates the digestive tract, which burns calories during the process of digestion.
Exercise.
There’s no way around it: you need to exercise if you desire a flatter belly. Sit-ups are the best way to develop a lean belly, but even something like running will help trim the fat off your stomach. If you are concerned about your back, get an exercise ball and use that for sit-ups. The exercise ball has been found to engage many more abdominal muscles than just doing regular sit-ups, which means that you will gain a flat belly even faster.
